It's here! The day I get to share some of our favorite photos from the engagement pictures Les and I took in Boston a few weeks ago. I have been dreaming of our engagement photos forever-- where we would shoot, what I would wear, and I'm SO excited to have so many beautiful photos of Les and I to share with our family and friends. Our photographer, Kelly Dillon, was so fun to work with. She gave us great direction and happily traipsed from the Public Garden, to Beacon Hill, to the Esplanade, and to Newbury Street all before sunset on a Monday night.
The whole day, actually, was really special. My mom was in town for Kelly's bridal shower so I took the day off from work and she and I went down to the city early in the day for some shopping and for my hair appointment. She was a trooper, too, handling Nestlie when we weren't shooting with her. And, I must say, for someone who doesn't love having his photo taken (what guy does?) Les was so, so great. He, in particular, made me feel really special, which I think is what makes this experience a really fun part of an engagement.
Lastly, before I get to the photos, I have to give a special shoutout to a friend from a long, long time ago! I spotted the dress I'm wearing (in a slightly different cut) on my friend Justine from elementary school when she posted it on Instagram after wearing it to a wedding. I LOVED the way it photographed, and immediately messaged her to ask where she got it. Justine happily shared that it is from a boutique in Brooklyn called The Vale Collective. Luckily, they have an online shop too because I was smitten! For Les, the choice was easy because I love him in a blue suit and brown shoes. And, if I may say so myself, he looks very, very handsome. :) See for yourself, and thank you for stopping by to share in these moments that we'll treasure forever! We did keep a few photos to ourselves that we might use for our save the dates, and I'll be excited to share those later on! Ok, time to let the pictures speak for themselves.
All photos are, of course, taken by Kelly Dillon Photography.
