1. Izipizi Sunglasses
Remember when I shared that I was in Gloucester last weekend? My sister, her fiancé, and I poked around some of the shops downtown and I came across these sunglasses from the French brand, Izipizi, in one of the stores. I'd been looking for a new pair of sunglasses to give my Warby Parker ones a break (I wear them almost every day and they've taken a beating), and I loved these as soon as I put them on! They feel really secure on my face and on the top of my head, and they seem to be really well-made. This is the first time that I've gone with a lighter frame and I'm liking them a lot! They come in a ton of other styles and colors-- check them out! The woman in the shop also told me that if I ever needed prescription lenses put into these glasses, I could so so through Izipizi. Cool!
2. Love Thy Beast Tote
This one is for all the fellow small dog mamas out there! I've had this waxed canvas tote from Love Thy Beast for about a year now so I wanted to share that is is holding up great. Nestlie is about 11 lbs and I've had other dog totes in the past that haven't lasted nearly as long; even though they're made for dogs Nestlie's size, the handles end up tearing from her weight. This one is much, much more durable, and more stylish (in my opinion) than other that I've seen! We love bringing Nestlie with us as much as we can-- whether we're out running errands or heading to one of our local breweries. She stays super comfy and quiet in this tote, and loves that she can peak out of the bag. It comes in other colors as well, but the camo was my pick!
3. Ann Taylor Factory Tie-Waist Shell
I love to share a good work top when I find one, especially when it's on sale! This cute top from Ann Taylor Factory comes in five colors and runs TTS (I bought in XS). The pink looks great with several pairs of my work pants-- black, navy, and blue/white stripe---but I also think it would look really sweet with white jeans for a casual look on the weekends. The somewhat stretchy material is really comfy, and the tie detail adds the perfect touch! It's marked down from $44.99 to $26.99-- grab one while you can!
4. J. Crew Factory Pajamas
Anyone else out there have an obsession with pajamas? I don't know why, but I always find myself wandering toward cute sets in stores like TJ Maxx, H&M, and Target. This particular pair is from J. Crew Factory and I just thought I would share them because they are 1) very comfortable, 2) lightweight and perfect for summer, and 3) adorable! I tend to be a lounger on weekend mornings, so I like to find sets that I wouldn't be embarrassed to be wearing if we have house guests. These do the trick!
5. Somm Documentary
I've been meaning to recommend Somm for a while but I kept forgetting! Les and I have watched it probably three or four times because we keep encouraging people we're with to watch it. It follows a few candidates for the Master Sommelier exam and it is FASCINATING. I've shared before that I don't know too much about wine, but even still I love this documentary. It's so impressive what these candidates go through to prepare for the exam, and the level of detail they have to know about any given wine. We're talking about being able to know the year, region, and precise vineyard a wine hails from all from tasting it. That's probably why there are less than 200 Master Sommeliers in the entire world! You're going to be amazed. Following the release of Somm, the filmmakers made a second documentary called Somm: Into the Bottle. This one explores a few specific, incredibly rare and incredibly expensive bottles from around the world. Equally as fascinating! Next time you're looking for something to watch-- particularly if you're looking for a crowd-pleaser-- check out both on Netflix or Amazon Prime!
Alright- that's all for this week! I've got a big work event this weekend and then I'm going to be in birthday (mine and Les's!) and bachelorette (my sister's) planning mode! In honor of birthday month, I'm going to share my favorite gifts that I've ever given on the blog on Monday. Be sure to check in then! Have a great weekend. :)
