Friday Favorites

Hello friends! I sort of took an impromptu week or so off from blogging; work has been incredibly busy and my sister's wedding is.... TOMORROW! There has been A LOT going on, but I'm excited to get back to my more regular schedule of blogging once things settle down a bit, and of course share photos and details from Kelly's Maine wedding! For now, here's a few Friday Favorites I have been meaning to share.

1. One year to go Gift

My sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet bridesmaid Ashley had this label made for Les and I to celebrate one year to go until our wedding day! She even picked the bottle to compliment the colors in the photo/in my dress. She just gets me. This was such a fun way to mark the day, especially because with Les and I being so busy, we didn't really pause all that much to let it sink in that we're (now less than) ONE YEAR AWAY from being husband and wife. This is definitely a bottle I'll keep forever...I can't say the same about the contents... ;)

2. On-the-go Bridal Notebook & Pen

Ok so this is just a regular journal from Rifle Paper Co., but I had been looking for something small enough that I could keep on-the-go throughout the next year when I needed to jot down notes and to-do items related to the wedding. I just LOVED the bright pink color of this one, and the coordinating pen, and I think it'll be a cute keepsake to have on a shelf later on with my larger kate spade Bridal Planner that my sister gave me as an engagement present! I've already started writing my dress list and rankings in it for my upcoming bridal gown appointments... more on that in a future post. :)

3. Gingham & Pom Pom Sun Dress

So I stole this look from a blogger I love, Kate from, and I wore it to a Labor Day Weekend party. How cute are the pom poms on the back?! Les asked what they were doing there...he just doesn't get fashion. :) I ordered it in a S/M but it looks like there is only M/L left. Can't wait to wear this one again! This photo was taken by our crazy talented friend Priscilla of and Crazy Love Creative. Connecticut friends- definitely check her out for your photography needs!

Speaking of, a while back I shared one of my favorite bloggers, Today, I thought I'd share another blog that I read regularly! I came across Kate's blog shortly after I got engaged, before I started blogging myself. She is actually the inspiration behind me starting lisabythesea! I had always wanted to start a fashion/lifestyle blog but I always worried I wouldn't have enough content to post. Kate was in the middle of planning her own wedding in Dallas, and I loved reading all of her posts about her engagement and wedding planning process. Immediately that's when I decided that if was ever going to start my own blog, this was the year to do it! She posts a ton of really great content (she really is #goals for blogging) so definitely check her out!

5. Kelly & Tom

This weekend I get to celebrate the wedding of my big sister Kelly and her fiancé Tom, two of my very favorite people. This whole year has been leading up to this weekend and I couldn't be more excited!! I'm so lucky to have a sister like Kelly and be as close with her as I am, and I'm so THRILLED that she found her forever person: Tom. I can't wait to share more details and photos from this weekend, but for now I'm signing off to let the festivities begin! In the meantime, feel free to check out her beautiful garden party bridal shower and her incredible bachelorette on Martha's Vineyard! Until next week!
