1. Save our New Date Sweatshirt

This little surprise just arrived in the mail yesterday from my bridesmaid Hannah, and I am truly obsessed with it. The Vogue-style lettering; the crop; the color; the hood; the fact that the fleece on the inside is one of the softest things I've ever felt. I think my favorite part, though, is that Hannah sent this before she even knew she was a bridesmaid! How sweet is that? She had no idea that I had popped a package in the mail for her on Monday asking her to be a bridesmaid (it arrived Wednesday to her). Meanwhile, unbeknownst to me, she had put this in the mail for me on Tuesday and I received it on Thursday. I think I'll have to do a little wedding party re-introduction post soon because Les and I were lucky enough to add both Hannah and her boyfriend Connor to our crew! Just as she said in her note, it was a perfect postponement pick-me-up. I'll be living in this for the next year and a half. And probably longer.

2. Nike Running Shoes

I shared these back at the very end of January when I first bought them, but I wanted to share them again now that I have been running in them for over 3 months. I'm happy to say that I didn't even come close to needing to take advantage of Nike's 30-day return policy after wearing these. They've been great on the treadmill for the HIIT classes I take, as well as outside when I'm running distance on the road. They provide plenty of support for my ankles (which are a bit weak and the part of my body that gets sore the quickest) and they're also made out of super breathable material. Just thought it was worth providing an update now that I can accurately review them!

3. Sephora BlenderCleanser

Raise your hand if you shopped Sephora's VIP sale back in April?! It took a while for my order to arrive, but I'm loving the few things I purchased. I'm going to try to do an updated makeup routine post one of these days. But for now, I had to share this blender cleanser that I got as my freebie with some of the reward points I had. Although— holy cow. When I went back to grab the link for this product, I didn't realize it was $45!! I'm not sure I would spend that much on this cleanser, but let me tell you it does work amazingly. So I guess in the long run if it extends the life of your expensive brushes it could be worth it? It's basically a tiny bar of soap (which makes me wonder if regular bar soap would work just as well...) and you lather it up under water and then rub your beauty blender or brushes against it. Admittedly, I'm one of those people who never washes their brushes. Eek.

Case in point, look at the before and after photos of my brushes! I definitely didn't remember that the tops of these were white when I first bought them. Anyways, what I can say is that this works incredibly well. But chime in below if you've tried regular, not $45 bar soap with the same results?!

4. Stationary from Etsy

I found myself in need of some new thank you notes recently so I decided to support a small business and search for some on Etsy. I LOVE the way these turned out, especially the little touch of personalization. There were a variety of phrases you could choose from on the top like "from the desk of" or "a note from," as well as several other cute papers and patterns in the seller's shop! Who isn't a sucker for personalized stationary?

5. The Road Les Traveled

Last weekend, Les carved out a path that my mom had wanted to create from her garden down to the fire pit. He raked everything out and moved a ton of large logs that we had from a fallen tree to outline the path; you can see it off to the right in this photo. We were super psyched about it and I was showing it off in our family video chat as "Les's Path" when my cousin Dani said, "why wouldn't you call it 'the road Les traveled?'" Duh! How did I miss that? My mom found a wedge from the tree stump, we borrowed a neighbor's wood-burning pen, and voila! His path was officially named. I say "voila" like it was super easy... the wood burning pen was harder/more time consuming to use than I thought it would be, so I only filled in "the" and "Les," and then just outlined the rest. I'm still pleased with how it turned out, and love that we have this new short-cut down to our s'mores station and fire pit!
