Friday Favorites

We made it to Friday! Not much going on here this weekend except for some thunderstorms, supposedly. Maybe this will call for a movie marathon! Les and I almost started the Harry Potter movies this week but decided that they were more of a Fall binge. So instead, we watched the Meet the Parents movies (Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, and Little Fockers). This may be an unpopular opinion, but I actually think Meet the Fockers is the funniest of the three. We watched most of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies earlier this year, and we've also been known to enjoy an Austin Powers marathon. Any other suggestions on binge-worthy franchises?!

Before we get to this week's Friday Favorites, if you didn't see my posts from Monday and Wednesday be sure to check those out as well because they have some DEFINITE favorites!

Ok, on to my official Friday Favorites!

1. Matching in Lilly

Are you sick of seeing me in this romper yet? No? Good, because I'm far from sick of wearing it!! And I had a good reason to throw it on again... my beautiful bridesmaid Ashley sent me a birthday package and when I opened it up, I couldn't help but SQUEAL with delight at the Lilly Pulitzer headband she sent me along with a MATCHING BANDANA for Nestlie!!!! Could it get any more adorable? My first thought was what an amazing idea; she probably ordered these after seeing me in this print in my photos. And my second thought was that I had no idea Lilly Pulitzer made accessories for pups! Well, I was wrong on both counts. Ashley had ordered the headband for me before I posted pictures in my romper— she just loved the print, and great minds think alike! And, she actually ordered the fabric from Etsy, cut it into a bandana herself, and had her boyfriend's mom sew the ties on. She even Googled the average neck size of a dachshund-chihuahua. I can't stand how thoughtful and creative she is!! These are definitely a Friday (and everyday) favorite! If only Les would have let me buy him the matching tie...

(P.S. My romper is sold out, but this one's similar).

2. Lulu's Mauve Jumpsuit

I bought this super cute jumpsuit last year to wear to my sister's bridal shower and I received tons of compliments on it. It's back this season and fully stocked! It's funny though, I actually hated this look in photos after the shower because, as Maid of Honor, I was too preoccupied setting up that I didn't realize how loosely I tied it around my waist. I prefer it a bit tighter and more fitted like I have it here. Oh well! I also don't normally go for a wider leg, but I think these are so fun, easy, and flattering. It also comes in black (how versatile would that be?!) and a beautiful cobalt blue.

3. Raffia Hoop Earrings

Another darling accessory that Ashley sent me were these raffia hoop earrings from Target! I feel like I keep talking about styles that I hope never go away.. like wrap dresses, rompers, jumpsuits, and headbands, and I think raffia accessories are another one. I know a lot of these trends have come and gone in other fashion eras, but I hope they're here to stay for the foreseeable future!

4. Ugg Beach Towels

Who knew that Ugg made beach towels?! My sister's sweet mother-in-law gifted me these two for my birthday, and they might just be the softest beach towels I've ever owned. Not to mention so pretty! I love the light blue tones and the striped detailing. You can find these at Bed Bath & Beyond, and they also come in pink. Les and I can't wait to use these during all of our beach and picnic adventures!

5. Seashell Hair Clip

I just got this hair-clip in the mail from Ann Taylor Factory earlier this week and I was SO excited to share it, and wouldn't you know that it's sold out. Luckily, ASOS has a similar—and in my opinion— just as cute version for less than $12! How fun is that? I always have a big hair-clip in my bag during the summer to use at the beach or driving with the windows down. There's no reason why it can't be a stylish one!

Ok, I'm signing off for this week, but be sure to come back on Monday for some holiday (and I'm not talking the Fourth) fun!
