An all-fashion Friday Favorites... I love when that happens! Not only that, but it's all fall fashion which is my FAVORITE kind. Sweater weather, skirts with boots, cute layers... I love it all. This is also the time that I finally get to pull out my Nordstrom Anniversary finds— including several of the pieces you'll see below! Although, sadly, after a few days in the low 60s we actually ended up back in the high 70s (and even 80°) toward the end of this week. As much as I know some people live for longer summers, I'm ready for hot apple cider and fuzzy socks.
And on to this week's Favorites! I mentioned on Monday that this was going to be a crazy busy week for me at work, so I just purely don't have the energy to write as much as I normally would. I'm keeping it short and sweet, and mostly letting these great finds speak for themselves! But if you have any questions on sizing or anything else, just leave a comment!
1. Soft Cropped Sweater
Who else is always on the hunt for the perfect sweater to pair with skirts?! As much as I love a tucked-in look (see next my next pairing), sometimes it's nice to have a top that's the right length to leave untucked! This sweater from Target is perfect for my suede skirt with its slightly cropped cut. It's also super soft and less than $30!
2. Tan Plaid Skirt
I fell in love with this cute and classic Burberry-esque skirt as soon as I saw it, and it just came in yesterday! It's polyester but feels more like a nice thin wool. This is one of those pieces that I know will be a favorite of mine year after year come fall and winter. Also, how great is it when you find a piece you love and it comes in all sorts of patterns? This skirt is available in five others, and I definitely have my eye on the red plaid for the holidays!
3. Notch Collar Cotton Blazer
This blazer was actually one of the last things I purchased during this year's Nordstrom Anniversary sale but it might be one of my favorite picks from this year. It's a soft cotton fabric which makes it a great layering piece, and the notch collar is really flattering. I love it here with my Marc Fisher booties!
4. Suede Motto Jacket
And one more Nordstrom Anniversary sale find that's fully stocked— my suede Kut from the Kloth motto jacket! I really like the neutral tone of this jacket in "Buff," but it also comes in three other fun colors. The asymmetrical zipper looks really cute when it's closed, but I love the more draped open look, too. And, it turns out this was just the layering piece I needed for my bridesmaid Sarah's wedding last weekend!
5. Tiered Gingham Dress
Speaking of Sarah's wedding... how stunning does she look?! Her wedding was truly so beautiful, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited to get all dressed up for the first time in months! I even curled my hair, but it was more-or-less straight by the time we arrived at the ceremony... sigh. But, I did love, love, LOVE my gingham dress from ASOS. The colors were perfect for early fall, and I got tons of compliments! It was so fun for dancing and twirling in, and what else could a girl want in a dress?
I hope everyone has a great weekend! I for one have a lot of house-work to catch up on, so that's where you'll find me. See you next week!
