Happy first Friday in October! I wish I had more to share by way of news and updates, but it's kind of been business as usual over here. This past week has mainly been dominated by work, and last weekend was pretty busy too. We spent all day Saturday doing some much-needed house-work and chores. And then Sunday we were desperate to get out, so we left the apartment to get potting soil for our planter boxes and ended up on a two hour drive to and from one of our favorite markets. I shared this earlier in the week but we ended up with apple cider, apple cider donuts, and apple cider bread. Well worth the drive!
I've got some great Friday Favorites to share, but first be sure to check out my posts from earlier this week!
And now on to today's list! A little food and a little fashion.
1. Calf Hair Leopard print Belt
It feels like leopard print made a come back a few years ago and it isn't showing any signs of quitting! Case in point, see the blouse that's up next. I ordered this belt from J. Crew Factory for less than $30! It looks just as cute with black jeans, too.
2. Leopard Tie-Neck Blouse
Also from J. Crew Factory — I bought this tie-neck blouse a few years ago and it's back in a slightly updated design. This season's has the cutest blush pink color throughout the pattern. Pair this with a black pant (or skinny jean like me) and some black heels, and you're trendy and professional!
3. Target High-Low Sweater
Another week, another easy sweater from Target. I tried both the XS and Small and ended up preferring the length of the Small on my 5'4" frame. I love this high-low look with jeans and leggings! It also comes in a great rust color that's perfect for fall.
4. Old Navy Masks
Can't believe this is the world we live in...but how cute are these masks from Old Navy. There are tons more patterns and combinations where these came from for both adults and kids! Plus there are some great Halloween and Christmas options out already. My feeling is if we're wearing masks, we might as well embrace them as an accessory! I couldn't help but order the red and green plaid in anticipation of the holidays.
5. Salsa Verde Enchiladas
It's been a while since I shared a recipe on here but I wanted to post our favorite enchilada recipe from Mix and Match Mama! I make this at least once a month for Les and I, and when I made it two weeks ago he said to me that I make "restaurant quality meals." I don't think he was speaking to my skills as a cook as much as he was speaking to how good this recipe is! But what a compliment, regardless.
That all for this week. I hope everyone has a great weekend and that it's filled with sunny sweater weather!
