Life Lately

Ohhh I was not ready for this Monday. We had a really fun weekend, but it'll be sandwiched between two pretty busy weeks for me work-wise. This week in particular I'll be hosting some trainings for a program I run at work which will keep me there until 9pm each night. Eeeek. So as busy as I've been, I thought it would be fun to just share a few recent photos I have on my phone that show a little bit of what life has been like lately around here! Get ready for some randomness...

Visiting with a new Frog Friend

The night we got home from the lake two weeks ago, I opened the door to take Nestlie out and discovered that we had a new frog friend sitting right on our doorstep! I sent a picture to my sister and my brother-and-law and joked that they had sent "Fred" to deliver a message. They have a little frog pond on their back patio in Maine that's home to the affectionately named Fred the Frog.

Celebrating September Birthdays

The first two weeks of September for Les and I are birthday madness! We have his two sisters' birthdays, my sister's, and then my dad's. Speaking of my dad's birthday... can you believe this card actually exists? I did a search for "funny dad birthday cards" on Etsy and came across this one. My dad thought I had made it myself!

Sporting New Sunglasses

Headed to an outdoor picnic with some college friends and living for the first taste of fall accessories! My hat is pretty old but this one is similar! And my sunglasses are from Warby Parker. Ok while we're on the subject of sunglasses I have to tell this story.... on Friday Les walked into our room while we were working from home to find me sitting on our bed on my computer. He looked at me funny and said, "What the heck are you doing?" I thought he was about to chastise me for working from bed, but I was watching a webinar and felt like getting comfy! So I told him what I was doing and he said "Ok but in your sunglasses...?" I kid you not I thought I was wearing my blue light glasses that are also tortoise shell. I had been watching the webinar for a good 20 minutes, inside, wearing sunglasses. I could not stop laughing.

Catching up with Friends

And here's the picnic we were headed to in my fall accessories! Although I ended up needing to ditch the hat because it was pretty windy out. Les's best man, Colin, was finally able to visit from Canada so a bunch of us did a BYOP (bring your own picnic) to a park in Boston where we could all catch-up! It was really nice to see some friends that we hadn't seen in months.

Working from Home

A little look at what working from home often looks like around here... this nugget swaps back and forth between my lap and Les's throughout the day. She's a little distracting, but oh so sweet.

Staying at Chateau Nudd

See what I mean? SO sweet. We spent the night at my sister's house on Saturday because we went to a wedding in their area. My sister and BIL were out of town that weekend, but she made up the guest room for us, and Nestlie clearly approved of our accommodations.

Enjoying a Beautiful Fall Wedding

And last, but certainly not least, we had the pleasure of attending my bridesmaid Sarah's wedding this past Saturday in New Hampshire! It was so beautiful, intimate, romantic, and just pure magic. The ceremony was outside in a lovely little park in downtown Portsmouth, NH, and the reception was in a dreamy tent right on site. It was so fun to be able to celebrate Sarah and Kyle, and everything was just perfect. P.S. my dress is here, and I threw this little suede moto jacket on because of the chill in the air!

And that's life lately! I'll be back Wednesday with a fun fall outfit to share. See you then!
