What I'm Wearing Weekly #3

Vest: forever old from Old Navy (similar here). | Bodysuit: J. Crew | Jeans: J. Crew | Shoes: Lucky Brand from Norstrom | Earrings: Tory Burch (sold out, similar here). | Bag: Tory Burch.

This past Saturday was the NICEST day we've had so far this year. Les and I spent the morning finishing setting up our patio (hanging lights, adding cushions to our furniture) and then when he went inside to study, Nestlie and I spent all day in the sun. We were in heaven, and dare I say a little sunburned.

Later that night, Les and I were meeting up with some friends for dinner in Salem, and I experienced the typical spring struggle with what to wear. I was actually in a t-shirt dress all day on the patio, but I knew it would be colder walking around that night. I also came to realize that my long-sleeve top collection is seriously lacking in spring colors. So, I ended up pairing my favorite jeans and a black wrap bodysuit with those grey suede booties I featured on my Friday favorites last week.

I think the light color of the shoes helped take this outfit from fall to spring. I bought the herringbone vest I'm wearing years ago from Old Navy, and it's a nice lightweight piece for transitional weather. I ended up finding a similar vest to link to from a company called Marley Lilly, and I thought it was worth mentioning that I've ordered from them before! They sell tons of great pieces that I've gifted to the women in my life before, and I've bought myself a few things too, like this sweatshirt in green (which Les hates-- it's so comfy though) and this sherpa pullover that used to come in navy blue. I've found their products to be great quality and for pretty reasonable prices. Check out their monogram-able (is that a word?) jewelry next time you need a gift idea!

Back to Saturday night...

I went with one of my all-time favorite bags, a Christmas gift from Les's mom! I loveee the Tory Burch Miller collection, specifically the treatment of the logo on both the bags and shoes in the Miller line. I also think the long tassel detail adds a kind of cool factor. The bag has three card slots on the inside and fits my phone perfectly. I've also squeezed a chapstick and a comb in there before. It kills me that it comes in several other colors-- not to mention textiles-- because I've struggled with not buying another one (or two.. or three).

The beautiful weather and great company definitely set our night up for success, but the truffle fries, chicken and waffles, and hard cider sealed the deal. Give this girl some cider (and a great bag) and she's happy as a clam!

P.S. Today's photos (unlike the past two weeks where I benefitted from shots taken by my sister and a girlfriend) were brought to you by Les, and I think he did a great job! We'll make an Instagram husband out of him yet. :)
