If I were going to give this outfit a name, it would be Spring Tory Burch Tribute. Can you tell she's my favorite designer? The first item I ever purchased from her brand was a pair of bright saffron colored flats during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale three years ago. If you don't know, Nordstrom holds a huge sale every summer (in July) in celebration of their anniversary during which they release that fall's styles early at incredible prices. Nordstrom card holders get to shop it in advance, too. This past summer's sale is where I scored these soft pink (the color is technically Shell Pink) flats that go with just about everything. I love them with jeans, and I especially love them with these striped blue pants from Loft!
The bag is part of the Fleming collection, which I have been drooling over since it first launched in 2014. This particular bag was debuted more recently, and I had my eye out on it as soon as it came out-- I'm such a sucker for anything quilted. I finally bought it during a sale online and I've been using it all spring! It fits my laptop and anything else I would need for the day.
This was my work-wear outfit last Thursday-- and yes, this backdrop is at my office! How incredible is that? My coworker snapped these pictures for me right before we headed out for some afternoon coffee-- and then two INCREDIBLE things happened.
The first? We got to to say hi to no less than 15 dogs playing outside at a doggy daycare right by the coffee place we were going to. In attendance were at least two pugs, a yorkie, a sweet pit mix, and what we swore was a cross between a husky and a corgi.
The next surprise? My co-worker, Melody, had a sudden craving for ice cream even though it was in the low 40s outside. The local ice cream stand down the road from where we work opened for the season a few days prior, so we thought-- what the heck! I decided it was for the better, too, so that we could surprise our other co-worker with her favorite small cup of strawberry because she had a rough day or two. But that's not even the best part....
We pulled up and saw a whole group of our colleagues who told us they were all there because it was dollar cone day!! What luck. Melody's craving was clearly right on point. What a way to break up a Thursday at work!
