What I'm Wearing Weekly #41

How is it already almost October?! 2020 has been such a strange time warp... I know that the holidays will be here before we know it, but Christmas somehow still feels like it was yesterday. For the time being, I'm going to try to soak up all of the fall I can! I just need the hot, humid, rainy weather we've been having to go ahead and pass.

Instead of sharing a new outfit today, I actually want to share a few fall staples I've come across that are similar to older pieces in my closet! I originally shared these photos last October when Les and I went to a nearby farm for apples. We haven't been able to do any sort of fruit picking yet this season, but we did buy apple cider, apple cider donuts, and apple cider bread this past weekend. That counts, right? Anyways, my whole outfit can easily be replicated with some new arrivals from a few places. I love them paired together, but each item is so versatile on its own and they'll take you straight through fall!

The first piece I wanted to point out right away is this black quilted jacket. The one I'm wearing is Barbour from a past Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but I love the version that J. Crew has come out with this fall— especially the brown corduroy collar! I wore my quilted jacket almost every day last fall, and well into the winter with a heavier sweater underneath. Black, of course, goes with everything, and the quilted texture dresses it up a little!

Now, the bag. How DARLING is this?! I absolutely love this canvas design, the mirrored spades hardware, the tassels...everything! It reminds me of my older Tory Burch bag pictured above, and I get compliments on it all the time. The neutral canvas and camel leather are perfect tones for fall!

My booties are from the brand Blondo and I've lived in them for two years now. They're waterproof, durable, and plenty comfortable! Well worth the investment, in my opinion. This pair is super similar, and fully stocked.

I also found a similar striped t-shirt dress for less than $10 (!!!!) at Forever 21— I love this easy dress with a denim jacket when the weather is still on the warmer side. It also might have been my most-worn item this summer while working from home.

And, I'm excited that my long cardigan is back this season at Old Navy! I wrap up in this with leggings at home, and I wear it with jeans, a chambray shirt, and flats to run errands around town. Love, love, love comfy sweater season!
